- 3 week course on zoom -
Are you just starting to make your own choreographies or considering trying? Where do you start and how do you end up with a creative result that reflects your personal style and stays true to the music?
This course will give you a rich set of tools for creating any choreography!
The November course was FULL so this course is being offered again in January!
During this course Helene will give you a rich set of tools that will help you create your own choreographies through structured improvisation and theoretical work.
We will work on the theoretical aspect to understand where to start the process of choreography, which will give you a great starting point every time you create a new choreography.
We will also use practical exercises and assignments to expand your creativity, find your natural movements and work inside AND outside your personal box.
The course will focus on training your ear to know what to listen for, how to deconstruct a piece of music and compartmentalise sections, but also how to explore your personal style of dance and making that your strength.
What movements fits with what instrument, and what am I actually listening to in the music?
Where should I start and what do I do if I get stuck?
This course runs over three weeks with live sessions Sundays and Thursdays.
Participants are given assignments between sessions and access to a private Facebook group where you can post your progress for personal feedback (this is voluntary)
